Following their debut release "This Is The Thing #1" from 2015, the band now present their new album "Venus To Volcanus". Not to be confused with cover bands, the new album again solely features self-penned songs dipping indeed into the classic Deep Purple sound, but with respect and the addition of fresh ideas and a modern songwriting. Thus, the songs from "Venus To Volcanus" offer everything you can expect. Crisp guitars, flurrying organ solos, groovy rhythms and Robby's expressive rock voice covering all facets from power vocals to gentle, balladic chantings with the greatest of ease. Frontman Robby carries each of the eleven songs across the finishing line true to the style. It speaks for itself that the band could win Deep Purple original member Ian Paice over to support them on several live shows as well as on both albums. That is how the song "Wonderful" found its way on the new album featuring ex Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow Keyboardist Tony Carey as a bonus. Tony performs on the Track 'Wonderful' along with Ian Paice (Deep Purple). |
