DasRainbow
Scottish Rainbow Tribute and Hard Rock Band

DasRainbow, led by guitarist Jon Clark, deliver a classic set of Rainbow Tracks which embody the true spirit of Rainbow's music. No dull note for note renditions of the material but highly improvised interpretations of the music. Band aim to deliver a full-out 70's/80's style concert experience, complete with tons of equipment/lights and everything you'd expect at such an event.

To quote Jon Clark, "How could we do a valid note for note version ? Rainbow never played anything the same twice, so which version would be valid ? The lack-lustre studio copy, the Japan Version, the German version, the version from some bootleg or other ? If you want to hear Rainbow play Rainbow, buy a Rainbow CD, they will always be better than ANY tribute band. On the other hand if you want to see a performance that is unique on the night, sometimes magnificent sometimes less so, come and see DasRainbow. Great music, great performances but no, not a copy-cat show, that's all been done before!

DasVocal duties are handled by R. Jamie Dee, DasBass Derek Grant, DasKeyboards Chew Bartlett and DasDrums Rich Davidson.

The guitar amplifier which our guitarist is using is Marshall Major200 & Old open reel tape deck recorder that converted. Even if it takes Old open reel tape deck recorder converted so that the same effect as Ritchie Blackmore might show up, it can be tasted, and it can make a spectator hear the deep echo effect.

Our organ player "Yoshiko Atsumi" can use the same equipments and can make a spectator hear forcibly distorted Lesley 146 and the tone which used Vintage Moog synthesizer & Marshall Major200. We perform to a very loud sound also at the live hall also in practice studio in order to reproduce volume as much as possible. Crossbow
Swedish Rainbow Tribute Band

Late autumn 2002: The funky band called Groober has crashed due to several member dropouts. Three remaining guys, Anders the Drummer, Andreas the Bass Man and Marcus the Guitarist decided to return to the roots of their musical influences: hard rock music. We found out that our solid base and inspiration derived from the great rock bands of the 70s such as Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and (of course) Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. What the hell, we thought, why not start jammin' our absolute favourite tunes from these bands and have a real good time? Some time passed, and we felt that we wanted to take our "project" one step further: ads were posted for a singer and a keyboardist.

2003: After several auditions Johan entered the band as singer: an experienced bloke with a total devotion for Rainbow and the style of Ronnie James Dio. Things started out rather well, we made two performances early in 2004. But. We were still in great need of a keyboard player to get the right sound and feeling, but it turned out to be hard finding one with the same devotion for the music we played as we felt*

2004: Something must be done: Andreas, who has a history playing the piano, decided to pick up the keyboarding again. New ads were made, this time for a bass player, and luckily enough a somewhat crazy and gifted man from Gothenburg responded to our need: Christofer was in!

2005: This year so far we have spent time widening and rehearsing our repertoire. It has become clearer and clearer to us that we are indeed a tribute act for our heroes and we take great pride in our humble efforts to play the immortal songs they once created.

Crossbow is: Johan Carlsson - Lead vocal, Marcus Fordberg - Lead guitar and backing vocal, Andreas von Schéele - Organ, moog, rythmguitar and backing vocal, Anders Hedman - Drums, Christofer Rigdah - Bass

The Midnight
Italian Blackmore's Night Cover Band

This is our little tribute to the genius of R. Blackmore and some kind of medieval, renaissance and baroque music. Our band was created in October 2003 with the aim of enjoying ourselves while playing our favourite melodies with acoustic instruments. Even before the creation of the band, in summer 2003, we loved to play enchanting melodies with medieval and celtic origins under the moonlight, plunged into silence, surrounded by nature. So we decided to call ourselves "midnight", just because that was the time of our unplugged performances.

With this brief introduction we would like to remark midnight's humility, which means music mostly played for ourselves, in hope of involving more and more people, as if it was a feast open to everyone. In late 2003 we have recorded a 4-track demo-tape, just to give you a sample of what midnight are about. This melodies have celtic and medieval origins, but we try to play them in a lightly modern way; this songs refer to past fantasies, for this reason they require the right setting: the best thing is to play them in past places with perfect acoustics in order to emphasize unplugged and acoustic instruments. At the same time to make our shows much more evocative, we love to dress like minstrels of past times. Now the next project for the Midnight band will be the song-writing sessions for some new original medieval-renaissance compositions.

Midnight band are: Federico Vannucchi - acoustic and classic guitars / Silvia Benda Santi - vocals, flute / Massimo Paggi - acoustic bass / Serena Damiani - flute / Graziano Ridolfo - drums and percussions / Emanuele Di Fini - keyboards

Nobody's Fools started playing in half 1999 under the direction of Ettore and Marco Palazzi (Father and Son) on Guitar and Voice/Keys. Since October 1999 they collect a good number of concerts with thousands of Drum and Bass players (and the great Marco Bordignon as second Guitar player in 3 Marks, a boy with the soul of Brian May that gave the band a fantastic sound across Purple and Queen), in the same way of the Marks of Deep Purple!

Marco Palazzi - Voice and Keyboards (inspir: J.Lord, G.Hughes, D.Coverdale, R.J.Dio, R.Blackmore)
Ettore Palazzi - Guitar (inspir: R.Blackmore, G.Moore, V.Moore, E.Clapton, T.McAlpine, J.Satriani)
Salvatore Renga - Drum and Background Vocals (an excellent drummer with influences from italian folk music of Napoli: it's great to hear him play Starstruck!!!!)

Even if they are starting producing their own songs (inspired by Lord of the Rings and Greek Wars and Mithology), they still play a lot of Purple Family covers:
Rainbow: Man on the Silver Mountain, Starstruck, Long Live Rock and Roll, Tarot Woman, Street of Dreams.
Whitesnake: Here I Go Again, Walkin' in the Shadow of the Blues, Wine Women and Song.
