Joe Lynn Turner
Commences His Longest Solo Tour On US Soil In Over A Decade

In what amounts to ten concerts in seventeen days through seven states along the East Coast and in parts of the Midwest, legendary vocalist, Joe Lynn Turner commences his longest solo tour on US soil in over a decade beginning April 21st at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City. The tour ends on May 7th at the Sellersville Theatre in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Ticket links can be found courtesy of joelynnturner.com

Since 2007, Turner, who has fronted such bands as Fandango, Rainbow, Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force, and Deep Purple, while pursuing a solo career, had often conducted extended tours throughout Europe and parts of Japan with just a few US dates scheduled in-between on both the east and west coast. That is until this recent set of tour dates which includes venues in New York, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Massachusettes, Maine, and Pennsylvania. All of the dates were confirmed through his Official Facebook and Twitter pages.

JLT, as his fans affectionately call him, is coming off some recent tour dates in both Scandinavia and Greece. And in addition to promoting his latest releases from 2016 (Joe Lynn Turner - Street of Dreams - Boston 1985, Rainbow - Boston 1981, Sunstorm - Edge of Tomorrow, and The Sessions), JLT has also lent his name to a Limited Edition Signature Wine - King of Dreams. The wine (consisting of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Cabernet Franc 40% and Merlot 10%) has been available worldwide since mid-February through a company called Music Megastore in Greece and can be purchased via this link.

Stay tuned for future updates on the shows when I head off to New York City to see, review, and take photographs at the first two shows on the US schedule.

Julie Barela Mills (who is a part-time contributor to Rainbow Fanclan Legacy) and her co-host (Joe Lopez) conducted a podcast for their 18 April show, "Rock On With Joe and Julie" to promote the upcoming Joe Lynn Turner shows in the States. Incidentally, this is his longest solo tour on US soil in over a decade! In addition, the pair paid homage to the legendary vocalist by discussing his extensive body of work relating to bands just before and after his time in Rainbow with a heavy emphasis on his solo career. The piece is over 42 minutes long, and the conversation could have gone longer had they been able to discuss those other projects and bands JLT has been involved in the over 40 plus years he has been in the music business.
