  • Pat Travers
      Patrick Henry "Pat" Travers is a Canadian rock guitarist, keyboardist and singer who began his recording career with Polydor Records in the mid-1970s. Pat Travers did in 1981 a co-headlining tour with Rainbow, the two bands performed in major arenas across North America.
  • Support Acts U.S.A.:

  • Headpins
      Headpins are a Canadian rock group, founded as a side project in the late 1970s by then Chilliwack members Ab Bryant and Brian MacLeod. Darby Mills provided lead vocals. Headpins were support act in Edmonton AB, Canada
  • 4 Out Of 5 Doctors
      4 Out of 5 Doctors was a Washington D.C. based power pop band. The Doctors toured the United States extensively, and were involved in several early 1980s films. 4 Out Of 5 Doctors were support act in Inglewood CA.
  • Lightning
      Lightning was a Minnesota-based rock band that grew out of White Lightning. Lightning was support act on some shows in Utah and Texas when Pat Travers & Rainbow co-headlined.
  • Krokus
      Krokus is a hard rock band from Switzerland. They enjoyed moderate success in North America during the 1980s. Former Eazy Money vocalist Marc Storace joined the band as frontman in time for their Metal Rendez-vous album in 1980. Storace did an audition for Rainbow in 1978/1979 but was not hired. Krokus was support-act on several dates when Pat Travers & Rainbow co-headlined.
  • Jon Butcher Axis
      Jon Butcher is an American rock, blues songwriter, guitarist and freelance multimedia producer. He created Jon Butcher Axis in 1979. Jon Butcher Axis was support act for the two shows in Boston MA.

  • The EF Band
      The EF Band was a hardrockband from Sweden. They were named after founding members - vocalist/bassist Par Ericson and guitarist Bengt Fischer - en were linked to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The EF Band was support act in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Dynamoe
      Dynamoe was a hardrockband from Denmark. Dynamoe was support act in Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Def Leppard
      Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The band's strongest commercial success came between the early 1980s and the early 1990s. Def Leppard was support-act for the complete European Tour except the 2nd and 3rd shows. They played the show in Madrid after Rainbow (Ritchie did not want to play after midnight).
  • UFO
      UFO is an English heavy metal and hard rock band that was formed in 1969. UFO became a transitional group between early hard rock and heavy metal and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. UFO was support act on two shows in Spain where they replaced The Scorpions. UFO went on after Rainbow in Barcelona (Ritchie did not want to play after midnight) and opened in Madrid.

      Rose Tattoo is an Australian rock and roll band, led by Angry Anderson, that was formed in Sydney in 1976. Their sound is hard rock mixed with blues rock influences. Rose Tattoo was support act on the complete U.K. Tour.

      Ma-Ma-Doo was a power pop trio from Japan. Ma-Ma-Doo was the support act for all the shows in Japan on this tour.
